The PollMaster® Polling Software is used to poll toll (AMA) records from a telephone switch to a file on your computer.

If you are searching for a way to eliminate your dependency on tape or your tape drive is failing then the PollMaster® Polling Software is your most cost effective solution.

• POLLMASTER^® for CODC-HDLC (LAPB) is a software/hardware package developed for the purpose of allowing communication from telephone switches such as the Siemens Stromberg-Carlson DOC and other switches that support the CODC-HDLC (LAPB) protocol to a Personal Computer (PC or Compatible) for the purpose of collecting AMA records.

• The POLLMASTER^® for CODC-HDLC (LAPB) package is shipped with:

  • One Communications Controller Card and custom device drivers to support the CODC-HDLC (LAPB) protocol.

  • One PMASTERL.EXE software program used in a dial-up mode with the V.34 (or compatible) modem to complete the communications link between the Billing Computer and the remote telephone switch.

  •   Modems are purchased as needed and are separate from the Pollmaster^® CODC-HDLC (LAPB) package.

·   The PMASTERL.EXE program runs on a Personal Computer that is capable of running 2000\XP. Only prerequisite is the case must be bigger than a compact desktop for the card to be installed.

• The following shows the typical hardware arrangement for the POLLMASTER^® for CODC-HDLC (LAPB) and related equipment:

·   The card is directly connected to the modem through an industry-standard RS232 25 conductor cable.

·   A single port card supports speeds up to 56kps or the limiting speed of the modem.
